Farmer’s Market season is near!
Looking for fresh food and local flavours from around the Cape? With more than 15 farmer’s markets serving the area, you don’t have to go far to find the best seasonal ingredients around. From handmade artisanal goods to fresh-picked fruit and vegetables, there is a farmer’s market for everyone, every day of the week. Check out the most popular ones below for an afternoon of delicious tastings and supporting local farmers and artisans!
SUNDAY
What they offer: local produce, eggs, coffee, maple syrup, honey, olive oil, baked goods, live lobsters, flowers and starter plants, alpaca wool spun on site
Where: Windmill Village 51 Drummer Boy Road
When: Sundays 9 am- 1 pm, June 25th - Sept. 24th
Why they are unique: Not only do they offer free parking, but also tours of their historical 18th century windmill and working blacksmith shop, hay rides and a playground for the children, and picnic tables for the whole family.
MONDAY
What they offer: fresh-picked fruits and vegetables, eggs, lobsters, humanely-raised pork / poultry / beef, breads & baked treats, chai & coffee, wine, mushrooms, honey, plants and flowers.
Where: Veterans Memorial Park, 20 Truro Center Road, Truro (across from 3 Harbors Real Estate and next to the Post Office).
When: MONDAYS June 4 – August 27, 8am-12pm.
Why they are special: They organize school gardening programs for children during the summer and always have great live music to accompany the local food that is grown, raised, caught or made in Barnstable County. They also have doubling WIC & Senior Discount Coupons up to $10/week.
TUESDAY
What they offer: hand-painted signs & furniture, potted plants, artwork, natural home supplies, handmade chocolate, handmade cards & bags, jams & other jarred goods, baked goods, fresh produce, grass fed meats & eggs, local honey, and many food vendors!
Where: The Village Green , Old Main Street, Sandwich
When: Tuesdays 9 am - 1 pm, June through October
Why they are special: Other than bringing some of the best local farmers and artisans to the community, Sandwich Farmer’s Market offers live music and informative talks on select dates that make the experience more enriching for everyone!
WEDNESDAY
What they offer: handmade soaps & lavender sprays, flowers & herbs, textile bags, fresh hummus, fresh-squeezed juice, wooden gifts, spices & jams, artisan cheese, fresh produce, eggs, baked goods, granola, and ready-made meals!
Where: 335 Main Street
When: Wednesdays 8 am - 12 pm, May 17th through October 11th
Why they are special: Wellfleet has a long history of partnering with local musicians to create a lively ambiance at their market as well as their famous farm-to-table events with recognized chefs that include a social cocktail hour followed by a fresh-cooked dinner. THURSDAY
What they offer: natural cleaning products, natural beauty products, pottery, handmade cutlery, sea-glass jewelry, knitted & quilted goods, homemade baby clothes & toys, nuts, spices, granola, baked goods, fresh produce, herbs, and eggs.

When: Thursdays 9 am - 1:30 pm
Why they are special: Besides offering a wide selection of artisanal goods, Bass River Farmer’s Market makes an emphasis on supporting their community of farmers/artisans from 3 local farms and 26 different vendors that show up every Thursday, rain or shine! Their mission is to provide visitors with convenient access and education concerning food and sustainable agriculture.
FRIDAY
What they offer: In addition to a full selection of vendors, an outdoor beer garden and live music to accompany a pint of locally crafted beer!
Where: 1336 Phinney's Lane Hyannis, MA 02601
When: Fridays 3 pm - 6 pm, May 25th through September 24th
Why they are special: As one of the most beloved farmer’s markets around, it is also one of the only farmer’s markets to serve alcohol in addition to the relaxing ambiance and live entertainment!
SATURDAY
What they offer: gluten-free baked goods, honey & beeswax candles, microgreens, fresh fruits and vegetables, fresh quail eggs, flower wreaths & sachets, glazed nuts, fresh pasta, frozen meats, aromatherapy & handmade soaps, and ice cream!

When: Saturdays 8 am - 12 pm, May through August
