Silent Retreat

December 7 - 9th, 2018

A silent retreat offers the opportunity to step away from some of the distractions in our lives, to slow down, and to focus on our individual mindfulness practice.  When allowed to step away from our busy schedules, work, family, daily stresses, and embrace gratitude, we can strengthen our mindfulness practice, and change our outlook and lives.  This draws the focus away from the past and future, and into the present moment.

Through gratitude and meditation, thoughts begin to subside and layers unravel, allowing this intangible thing called YOU to emerge without restraint. When you commit to mindfulness and meditation practices, a gradual desire to free the mind begins.  Life becomes more meaningful when you let go of the things that keep you from being present, happy, and productive.

Our Intention

As the idea to design and create retreat packages evolved it was necessary to state our intention, to define the goal and purpose of these retreats.  When we remove ourselves from our everyday environment and habits and immerse ourselves in different surroundings, the change we experience can awaken new senses and be the catalyst for insight and change.

Our intention is to provide a safe, serene and comfortable environment for participants to start or continue their practice of meditation and work on honing your mindfulness practice.   By offering beautiful calm spaces, free of judgement, participants can to explore and invite quiet moments, observation and growth.

Reading materials are available to nurture the process.  We encourage participants to enjoy the grounds and tranquil beaches, sitting quietly or walking as nature surrounds you.

This is an individual journey, but the reality that we are all part of a connected larger community still resonates with the intimate group size.

Questions and Answers

What is the maximum number of guests?

Our standard rate allows for guests to have their own room, which allows for 9 participants.  Rooms may be requested but are assigned by the host.  If guests come with a friend or partner they will receive a double occupancy rate which would bring the maximum number of guests to 12.

Are retreats co-ed?

All retreats are co-ed except those that clearly state that they are “for women.”

Will you find a roommate for me if I come by myself?

Many people attend retreats without a friend or partner.   Our standard rate allows for guests to have their own room, which allows for 9 participants.  If guests come with a friend or partner they will receive a double occupancy rate which would bring the maximum number of guests to 12.

Truro is often referred to as “Old Cape Cod” with its rural feel.  Just 2 hours from Boston it feels  remote.  During off season the natural rugged beauty creates a serene destination for retreats.  Hedgebound Estate’s comfortable luxury wraps around you as you enjoy your personal journey in this private setting.  It allows one to let go of the demands and distraction of daily life and reconnect with ones deeper knowing.
